The Braves have been part of Major League Baseball since 1876, but have also played in Boston and Milwaukee. They’ve been in Atlanta since 1966 and play their home games at Turner Field. Known as The Braves (they’ve also been known as The Team of the 90’s and ‘America’s Team’) , Atlanta’s finest picked up their nickname in 1912, the term for an Indian Warrior symbolising devotion and commitment. They won ‘The Miracle’ Championship in 1914, becoming the only team in history to take the title after being in last place on July 4.
Going 41-12 on a hot streak of the century, the Braves moved into second place on August 12, a stunning turnaround.
Most fans will know of the Braves due to their incredible, record-breaking run in the 1990’s and beyond (hence the nickname), during which Atlanta won 14 consecutive division championships between 1991-2005.
During their nineties heyday the Braves played in the World Series five times, yet only won once, in 1995.
Following a mixed few years, including an East Division title in 2013, the Atlanta Braves have rebuilt their squad. They’re looking forward to taking on their main rivals, the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies, and should be fighting for the East Division in forthcoming seasons.

How to Make Money on the Atlanta Braves
The Atlanta Braves may be one of the most exciting teams to watch in Major League Baseball, but they’re unlikely to win the World Series in forthcoming seasons. Last season, they were near the bottom of all stats of note.
Starting the year at +15,000 on the moneyline to win the World Series, The Braves need to overhaul their hitting and inject fresh blood into their first pick. With A.J. Pierzynski possibly their best operator at bat in 2015, the 38-year-old is coming to the end of his caeer so the team needs to find a new leader.
The Braves have managed to bring Arizona Diamondbacks’ hitter Shelby Miller into the roster, but you should still expect some inconsistent hitting throughout the lineup. Take the under 7.5 line whenever the Braves are without Miller or Pierzynski.
Pitcher Sean Newcomb is a hot prospect and will definitely improve if he stays fit all season, but we wouldn;t advise taking the Braves to win either the National League Pennant or NL East.
