NFL 2010 Week 3 Games – Prime Time Match-Ups

Dallas Cowboys at Houston Texans

All the preseason hype was on the Dallas Cowboys (0-2 SU, 0-2 ATS).  Many so-called experts were picking America’s Team to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.  However, their sloppy preseason play followed them into the regular season.  The Cowboys are visiting the Houston Texans (2-0 SU, 2-0 ATS) and hope to capture their first win of the season as three point underdogs.

Tennessee Titans at New York Giants

Vince Young will be back under center for the Tennessee Titans (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS) when they visit New York to play the Giants (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS).  The Titans turned the ball over seven times in last week’s defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the blame can’t be all on Young.  The Titans are listed as three point underdogs, but are looking to bounce back against a defense that is far from as dominating as the Steelers.

Cincinnati Bengals at Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers (0-2 SU, 0-2 ATS) are playing host to the Cincinnati Bengals (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS).  Coach John Fox named Jimmy Clausen as the starting quarterback early in the week.  The Bengals will be a tough opponent for Clausen’s first NFL start and are coming off a huge divisional victory against the Baltimore Ravens.  The Bengals are listed as 3.5 point favorites.

Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints

The Atlanta Falcons (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS) are heading to New Orleans and hope to upset the Saints (2-0 SU, 1-1 ATS) in a NFC South match-up.  A victory as 4.5 point underdogs would provide proof that the Falcons are true playoff contenders.  The Saints haven’t been the offensive juggernaut that they were last season.  They are coming off a victory over the San Francisco 49ers in a Monday Night Football game that saw running back Reggie Bush fracture his fibula on a punt return.

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins

After an impressive win against the New England Patriots, the New York Jets (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS) are heading to Miami to play the Dolphins (1-0 SU, 2-0 ATS).  The Dolphins defeated the Minnesota Vikings 14-10 last week and look to remain all alone in first place in the AFC East this week as 1.5 point home chalk.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Tampa Bay Buccanners

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0 SU, 2-0 ATS) are one of the surprises of this young NFL season.  They will be facing a Pittsburgh Steelers’ team (2-0, SU, 2-0 ATS) that has leaned on their suffocating defense while Ben Roethlisberger serves his four-game suspension.  Some experts are touting Buccaneers’ quarterback Josh Freeman as the ‘real deal’ after two victories against less than stellar teams.  Listed as 2.5 point home underdogs, the Buccaneers will have their first true test of the 2010 NFL season against the Steelers.
