Chris Johnson and the Tennessee Titans play host to the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night NFL 2010 preseason action and we’re here with a few predictions about these two teams.

Oddsmakers have the Titans set as 4-point favorites with the total at 37.

Word out of Titans camp is that quarterback Vince Young and most of the other first-stringers on offense will play into the second quarter of the game. Young was up and down in last week’s loss to Seattle, but expect to see a little more consistency this week.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Tennessee Titans Trends and Results

That goes for the rest of the year too – Tennessee continuing to improve from one week to the next. The Titans have a defense that really gets in the backfield and one of the best, if not the best running back in the league with Chris Johnson. As such, oddsmakers have Tennessee’s over/under regular season win total at 8.5.

I like the over here. With Young and Johnson in the backfield combined with a defense that should be pretty good, we’re looking at a team that should win a bunch of games as long as it limits turnovers and Johnson stays healthy. Really, Johnson’s probably worth at least four wins on the schedule alone and is the frontrunner to lead the league in rushing yards.

I’m not so sure about the Arizona Cardinals. There’s just so much that has changed since last year, which may not necessarily be a bad thing with Beanie Wells immerging and Matt Leinart taking over, but there could be a real transition phase early in the year.

Oddsmakers have Arizona’s regular season over/under win total at 7.5. I can’t see the Cardinals cracking that number this season.
