Sportsbooks For Leicester

Leicester City, an English professional soccer team, have shocked and delighted sports fans the world over almost overnight. They surprised the world in 2015 when they won the English Premier League. Top tier English soccer has been dominated by four or five clubs since its inception and it was a joy to see supposed minnows grab the league by the scruff of the neck. Leicester were bought in 2010 by Thai businessman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and he has backed the club with personal finances exceeding millions of dollars. [+]

The injection of funds and firm belief has obviously paid off.

Leicester, or the Foxes as their more commonly known, need to do all they can to hang onto their best players. If they can, and Vichai continues to invest, the club could establish themselves as one of the Premier League big boys. But there is still a lot of work to do.

Home advantage is huge in football. Having your home crowd in your corner spurs players on, so look for Leicester’s home games when backing the money line.

They play a very direct style and have pace all over the pitch, so overs can be a great bet when looking at betting on Leicester City. Look for opponents who love to attack and watch the goals fly in at a rapid pace.

Leicester Standings Today

The premier league standings are below. The standings can tell you a great deal about the season if you know where to look. [+]

Goals for, against and most importantly goal difference are great indicators on whether or not Leicester are likely to beat the over/under line on a game by game basis. League position is important in the premier league.

The bottom three clubs will be relegated into the Championship and the top six clubs will qualify for Europe (top 4 Champions League and 5th and 6th Europa League).

If Leicester are in contention for a European spot,  expect them to be extremely motivated to win games, presenting a perfect time to back them on the money line.

How To Make Money Betting On Leicester

The 2015/16 season was a crazy one for English soccer. Leicester City shocked the world by winning the Premier League, but can they achieve similar success going forward? Lets look at how they won the title first.

Claudio Raneri took over the Fox’s for the start of the season, a controversial appointment at the time. The Italian did not have much previous Premier League success. Looks like he rectified that blemish on his resume.

Players quickly became comfortable the manager’s coaching style. Couple this with Leicester’s astute scouting and faith in their youth system, and you can see why Leicester was the sports story of the decade.

Leicester are the definition of a unified team, their camaraderie a testament to the organizaton. It’s the type of situation every team would love to emulate. Jamie Vardy and a huge season, but the recipe for success was teamwork, high energy and a ruthless counter attack.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have new managers, a big expectation and the ability to attract the world’s top talent, making Leicester’s title defense all the more unlikey.

Leicester have a big job on their hands as they’ll need to keep Vardy and Mahrez to compete near the top. Also, they’ll have to juggle the Premiership and the Champions League, a great problem to have for any squad.

Concentrate on maximizing your profits on a game by game basis. Jamie Vardy was Leicester’s top scorer last season and second in the league with 24 goals, just one goal behind golden boot winner and England colleague Harry Kane.

If Leicester can hang onto Vardy and a couple of others, back them on the money line regularly as well as dipping in and out of the over/under market when the opponent is right.

Leicester are likely to struggle in the Champions League, coming up against European giants for the first time is an exciting, yet daunting prospect. They might have to play Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich. We think Leicester has to prioritise the Premier League, rendering a probable early exit from the Champions League

Take a look at the money line and spread. Betting against Leicester could prove profitable in Champions League fixtures, but the returns will be minimal as they’ll be massive underdogs in each and every match. No surprise there.

All of the below sportsbooks accept premier league bets. Each one is wholeheartedly recommended. They have excellent betting lines, a lot of markets and some fantastic bonuses and promotions.
