It's all going to come down to this. This Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots are set to square off in the 2026 Super Bowl and there's already plenty of intrigue for this one. So, which team will come out on top and take home the Lombardi Trophy? We'll find out soon, but leading up to kickoff, the Seahawks are small favorites over the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
Seattle has surprised a lot of people this season and they've been on a solid run in the postseason. The Seahawks opened things up by dominating the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round and then the team followed that up by taking down the Rams in the NFC Championship Game. Now, Mike Macdonald and his players are ready to win the second Super Bowl title in franchise history.

The over should hit between the Seahawks and Patriots
Despite both of these teams known for having stellar defenses, we think the over should hit between the Seahawks and Patriots. That's because both teams are led by talented quarterbacks in Sam Darnold and Drake Maye, respectively. Darnold has looked great during the postseason, while Maye is living up to his first-round hype. The expectation is that both of them will put on a show in this one too.
"Every time they went and scored, he came back," Macdonald said of Darnold after the NFL title win. "Made some big-time throws on third down, the two-minute drive, the four-minute drive. The guy barely practiced all week. Just really happy for him. He deserves it. He's been a rock for us the whole year. Just really happy for him."
The fact Sam Darnold shows no bitterness towards any of the teams or people who dismissed and discarded him is a lesson on mental strength.

When Seattle first signed him to take over as the starting quarterback, not a lot of people had faith that he'd be able to even get Seattle to the postseason, let alone win the NFL Championship Game.
However, the veteran quarterback and former first-round pick has been able to silence the haters everywhere. In the win over San Francisco, Darnold was fantastic and then he was once again brilliant against the Rams with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. Whenever the Seahawks needed him to make a big throw, Darnold was there to deliver.
Per the oddsmakers, Darnold has been given +115 betting odds to be named the MVP. Maye is right behind him at +130. In order for Seattle to win the Super Bowl title, the NFC West side is going to need Darnold to be at his absolute best. We think that's going to end up being the case, which is why we're going with Darnold as our pick here.
