Sportsbooks For New York Giants

The New York Giants are a National Football Team (NFL) who compete in the NFC East division, having been established in 1925 some 91-years ago. Unlike most NFL sides, the New York Giants share their MetLife Stadium with the New York Jets in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Giants were one of five teams that joined the NFL back in 1925, and they are the only one of that quintet who exist today, making the Giants the oldest NFL team in existence. Rivalries are common in professional sport, but the Giants’ rivalry with Philadelphia Eagles dates back to 1933, and is regarded as the best NFL rivalry in the 21st century. [+]

Games between these two teams are explosive and a joy to watch.

Prior to the Super Bowl being created, the Giants won four NFL championships, and have won four Super Bowl rings, too. The last of these Super Bowl titles came in 2011 when the Giants beat New England Patriots 21-17 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana.

The Giants were the team of the 1990s, but more recently things have been less than stellar.

After winning the NFC East in 2011, the same year they won their fourth Super Bowl, the Giants finished second in NFC East before three consecutive third-place finishes, each of those three seasons being losing ones.

In 2015, the Giants finished 6-10 for third place. This season, bookmakers price them as +250 second favorites to win NFC East, which means they are likely to finish in second place, with many pundits predicting an 8-8 season for the “Big Blue Wrecking Crew.”

In Odell Beckham Jr, the Giants have probably the best player in the division. In two seasons with the Giants, he has made 187 catches, 2,755 yards, and 25 touchdowns. Beckham Jr is key to Giants’ success.

How To Make Money Betting On New York Giants

The New York Giants are +250 to win the NFC East, only second to Dallas Cowboys priced at +162. Dallas’ short odds are due to a trio of stars returning from injury, but if they don’t stay fit, the Giants’ odds look like a steal.

Offense is not an area of concern for the Giants, who finished eighth in the entire NFL in terms of yardage, with 372.3 yards per game. This was enough for sixth place in the NFC.

The Giants scored 26.3 points per game in 2015, a total only beaten by three NFC teams, but they had to because their defense was nothing short of dreadful.

Defensively, the Giants finished rock bottom of both the NFC and the entire NFL with 6,725 yards allowed, or 420.3 yards per game. The 27.6 points per game allowed was only slightly better than the New Orleans Saints, and needs to massively improve otherwise it will be a fruitless season for Giants fans.

Eli Manning, brother of Peyton Manning, is a key player for the Giants at quarterback. Manning has been ever present for the Giants since the 2005 season, with 2015 being solid for him with a rating of 93.6 and throwing for 4,436 yards, with 35 touchdowns.

Manning’s partnership with Odell Beckham Jr is a joy to watch; they are perfect for each other.
