How To Make Money Betting On NBA Western Conference

The tricky thing about futures, and even when looking at individual game plays over the long term, is that we're constantly waiting, if expecting, for change—a seismic shift in conference or league power structure. But that's not going to happen in the Western Conference.

The top-tier teams are built to dominate the field for years. Not just a few years, but five or more seasons. They have the right mix of young talent and veteran leadership, and more importantly, they've assembled cultures and business processes that make it impossible to doubt their ability to prolong their conference and championship windows, even when it's time for a transition.

The Western Conference went through a shakeup in 2022-23, with the Denver Nuggets winning the NBA Finals. Nikola Jokić's squad dominated during the regular season as well, so their championship run didn't come as a huge surprise. On the heels of their first NBA title, the Nuggets are slated as favorites to repeat as Western Conference champions in 2023-24, but there will surely be challengers looking to dethrone them.

The Nuggets deserve to be favorites after returning most of their roster, including stars Nikola Jokić and Jamal Murray. As long as that duo stays healthy, Denver should remain atop the West.

The Phoenix Suns made a big move by acquiring Bradley Beal to pair with Devin Booker and Chris Paul. With three elite scorers, the Suns pushed the Nuggets to six games in the playoffs and have the talent to go further next season.

Other contenders like the Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks will look to make moves to catch the Nuggets, while young teams like the New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies could take a step forward next season.

It should be another exciting year out West with the Nuggets trying to defend their crown against a group of hungry challengers. But with Jokić leading the way, Denver remains the team to beat!
