As exciting as soccer was throughout the year at the club level, there's an exciting summer on the way for international contests. For starters, people can't wait for the Copa America, with Argentina and Lionel Messi expected to win it once again. It shouldn't come as a huge surprise, but France is our pick to win the 2024 Euro tournament. As great as England can be, France has proven time and time again how brilliant they can work together. We saw that at the most recent World Cup, as Kylian Mbappe and Co. were able to reach the final vs. Argentina and Messi. Unfortunately for France, they came up short in the penalty shootout, but they have revenge in mind for the Euros.
Mbappe is without question one of the best forwards on the planet and the pressure is going to be on him to deliver this summer. Mbappe's confidence is riding high, as he has finalized his move from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Madrid. Real Madrid just won the Champions League and they've only gotten stronger by adding the Frenchman. France is also excited about the return of N'Golo Kante, who provides loads of experience in midfield.

There's of course going to be a lot of attention on Cristiano Ronaldo, arguably the best player of all time. It remains to be seen if Ronaldo is going to get significant playing time or not, but all signs are pointing to that being the case.
In the midfield, Bruno Fernandes, the Manchester United captain, has looked brilliant during the team's friendlies. He's going to have to keep up his strong play in order for Portugal to post an upset or two. While we're sticking with France as our pick to be the champions, we also wouldn't be surprised to see Portugal go on a deep run too. They're simply that good of a team both on offense and defense.
