Who To Bet On To Win 2022 RBC Heritage

Who’s Playing At The 2022 RBC Heritage?

When we said this year's playing field is stacked, we absolutely meant it. Just take a gander at some of the names playing at the 2022 RBC Heritage — Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, and Jordan Spieth, amongst many others. There’s a strong argument to be made that this is the most competitive field at this event in a long time (if not history). Historically, many top names took this event off after the Masters, but that’s not the case in 2022.

In total, the RBC Heritage field will consist of 138 players. Let's take a quick look at which golfers are currently favored most to win the event at top online sportsbooks:

Competing golfers will descend upon the famed Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina to compete. The course has hosted the tourney every year since 1969. Designed by Pete Dye, Harbour Town has a few notable distinctions. One is the tiny greens, which are actually the second-smallest on the whole PGA Tour. Two, there’s the litany of trees, which spells trouble for players who like “bombing it.”

2022 RBC Heritage Betting Advice

It goes without saying that you should make multiple bets to win at the 2022 RBC Heritage. That’s a given with golf and its 100-plus playing fields. If you need help in that regard, then our 2022 RBC Heritage betting advice covers golfers you should back AND fade (this matters just as much as picks). There’s a lot to cover so let’s jump right into it:

Bet Collin Morikawa

Morikawa and Thomas are co-favorites to win the RBC Heritage at the top betting sites for golf. Both are definitely betting material, but if we had to pick one of the two, it would be the second-ranked player in the world Morikawa. There’s a lot to like about him going into this event.

For one, Morikawa is coming off a big performance at Augusta National. In the final round, he shot a final-round 67. Morikawa finished in fifth and for what it’s worth, three shots ahead of Thomas, who tied for eighth. Not only does Morikawa have that going for him, but he also did well at the 2021 RBC Heritage. A year ago, he tied for seventh overall here. Morikawa’s short game should excel at Harbour Town, which makes him a solid bet.

Do NOT Bet Jordan Spieth

Speith is cold. Ice cold. He missed the cut for the first time at last weekend’s Masters. It would be easy to chalk that bad performance as a fluke, but we’re not so sure. We can’t put our finger on it, but Spieth's swing just seems off. Until Spieth can find any measure of consistency, it’s best to avoid betting with him — and that goes beyond the RBC Heritage too.

Do Bet Corey Conners

We have a lot of confidence in Conners here, or rather, we have a lot of confidence in Conners’ playing style at Harbour Town. What do we mean by that? Welp, Conners' accuracy is tailor-made to succeed at Harbour Town’s tiny-sized greens. Moreover, when it comes to hitting greens in regulation, Conners ranks first in his past 24 rounds in this star-studded field.

Not only does Conners have the right playing style for the course, but he’s been on a tear as of late. Conners had strong showings at both the WGC Dell Match Play and Masters in recent weeks so momentum is plenty. All things considered, Conners is a very worthy bet — especially at his somewhat steep price.

Do NOT Bet Patrick Cantlay

Cantlay has been quite the boom-or-bust player all 2022. On one hand, he has four top-10 finishes this season. On the other hand, he missed the cut at the Players and tied for 39th at Augusta. You just never know what Cantalay you’re going to get — which is a nightmare for bettors. Use that inconsistency to fade him and save your money.

Do Bet Webb Simpson

To this day, Simpson’s 2020 outing at the RBC Heritage is an all-time performance at the event. That day, Simpson finished the tournament scoring a course-record 22-under-par 262. He was clutch too, making five birdies in his last seven holes. Simpson is a “Pete Dye specialist”, which means his game is made to take advantage of Dye-designed courses. If he even comes close to replicating his 2020 performance, he’ll have a good shot at winning. That’s worth taking a chance at!
