Dimitri Payet to score for West Ham against Sunderland

Dimitri Payet

West Ham’s French superstar Dimitri Payet scored 15 goals in 46 appearances last season, and although he has three goals in 10 games this season, he has failed to grab the headlines so far.

Payet only has one goal in the Premier League, that coming on October 1 when he scored in the 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough. Payet’s other goals came against Accrington Stanley in the cup and in France’s 4-1 win over Bulgaria in the World Cup qualifying game.

West Ham take on Sunderland this weekend, a team who I would say is one of the worst Premier League teams of all time and one who simply cannot defend. Payet must be licking his chops in anticipation of being able to relentlessly attack a defense that has leaked 15 goals in eight games, which is why the +450 for Payet to open the scoring and +160 to score at any time during the 90-minutes look like an absolute steal.

Diego Costa to score for Chelsea against Manchester United

Diego Costa

Jose Mourinho takes his Manchester United side to his old hunting ground, Stamford Bridge, this weekend where he is sure to receive a warm welcome from the Chelsea fans who hold the Portuguese guru in high regards.

While Chelsea fans will welcome back their messiah, they will be hopeful of taking all three points to continue their climb up the Premier League table.

One man Chelsea will be looking to for the goals is the controversial Spaniard Diego Costa, who happens to be the current top scorer in the league with seven goals. Costa scored in the corresponding fixture last season in a game that ended 1-1 and I expect the exact same to happen in this season’s fixture.

Costa is +400 to score first and +140 to find the back of the net during the game. He is also +400 to score two or more goals, which is quite unlikely (in my opinion) but worth a punt if you think Chelsea will beat Mourniho’s inconsistent United team.

Alexis Sanchez to score for Arsenal against Middlesbrough

Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal are second in the Premier League, on goal different, and could go top of the table with a win over Middlesbrough who are struggling to find their feet in English soccer’s top tier.

With 19 goals scored in eight games, Arsenal are the league’s joint top scorers and they could get a three or four against Middlesbrough despite the North-East’s team only conceding 11 goals so far this term.

Arsene Wenger has been deploying Alexis Sanchez as a striker this season and it is a system that has yielded five goals in 10 games in all competition, or four goals in nine Premier League games. Sanchez has a superb record for Arsenal, scoring 33 goals in 73 games, and he should add to his impressive tally this weekend.

I don’t see how Middlesbrough can stop Arsenal scoring because they will not have faced such a talented side in their careers to date. Sanchez is +330 to be the first player to score in this game and +100 to be on the score sheet by the time the referee blows the final whistle. I particularly like the +360 for Sanchez to score at least a brace of goals, and that is my bet for this game.
