D.C. United (+115) vs. New York City F.C. (+235) 4pm ET
New York City already look a younger, more dynamic team than they did in 2016. Their 2-1 victory last weekend from a losing position sent them third in the Eastern Conference:
While Jack Harrison and Tommy McNamara were the heroes last time out, this week's game could be one for the mercurial Spanish maestro David Villa.
Villa has scored six goals against D.C United in just two years is a red hot pick at +375 to notch the opening goal. Villa is -105 to score at any time, but that is still not a bad price for someone with his record against United.
While United will be favorites to win on their home ground, we like both teams to score in a tie (+300). If you fancy D.C. United to take the lead into half-time (both their goals last week were scored in the first 30 minutes) and New York City to equalize before full-time, it's +1200.
F.C. Dallas (-235) vs. Minnesota United (+650) 8pm ET
Minnesota United's first ever MLS regular season victory came last weekend, as they outscored a shambolic Real Salt Lake, who imploded after taking the lead in the fourth minute. Four goals from Minnesota flew in and a late consolation for the away team was merely that.
Can United build on this result and grab their first point on the road in 2017?
Dallas are a different proposition entirely, especially at the Toyota Stadium. We love the spread on the handicap market supplied by Bovada with the 90-minute handicap call of Dallas -1.5 goals at a good line on -110. To win the first half by two or more goals, Dallas are an appetizing +175. Both those picks should see a return.
When it comes to goalscorers, two of the best across both conferences meet on Saturday evening. Max Urruti has three for Dallas, while Christian Ramirez has four for the visitors, including two in his most recent game. Both players could score, but you'll want to wait until they're confirmed in their starting line ups.
Sunday April 9th
Orlando City (+130) vs. New York Red Bulls (+200) 4pm ET
New York Red Bulls face a second consecutive away game. Last weekend, they were humbled by Houston Dynamo, despite taking the lead through Bradley Wright-Phillips.
Red Bulls need a win, having slipped to fourth in the Eastern Conference, with a lower PPG (points per game) than anyone else in the playoff spots. The 1-1 tie appeals at +650 due to Cyle Larin's three-goal haul so far for Orlando City, but Red Bulls are +375 to win a game where both sides score. The away side have conceded eight so far, and we like the value on that bet.
