3 Can’t-Miss Betting Picks For 2023 NFL Week 13

3 Can’t-Miss Betting Picks For 2023 NFL Week 13

Week 13 is loaded with betting opportunities, however, there are three games you should really focus your money on. Keep on reading because we’re sharing our three favorite Week 13 bets right here.

  • What: NFL Week 13
  • When: First game is Thursday, November 30

Moneyline: San Francisco 49ers at Philadelphia Eagles

Oh, boy, do we have a barn burner of a game in this one — a rematch of the 2023 NFC Championship game. San Francisco are three-point favorites on the spread, however, we're more interested in betting on the 49ers vs. Eagles moneyline. Here’s how the betting odds shake out:

Philadelphia+135+135+135

Philly might have the league’s best record at 10-1, but San Francisco is the best team in the NFL. The Eagles are skating by teams, but the 49ers are beating the brakes off many — and that counts for something. Offensively and defensively, we’ve seen more dominant showings out of the 49ers this year.

Here’s an X-factor going into this highly anticipated game: San Francisco will be more well-rested having played earlier on Thanksgiving. Philadelphia, on the other hand, needed overtime to beat Buffalo — a game where its defense was on the field a vast majority of the time.

While we think the 49ers will win, we’re not completely sure they’ll cover the spread. There’s just something about the Eagles you can’t count out. Here’s a team that’s trailed five times at halftime this year but then stormed back to win each time. Philly has an abundance of playmakers that can strike at any single moment, which always keeps them around. We expect San Francisco vs. Philadelphia to go to the wire. Still, the 49ers win on the road, hence this bet.

Against The Spread: Miami Dolphins at Washington Commanders

Things have gone from bad to worse in Washington. The team was blown out a week ago on Thanksgiving Day, dropping its record to 4-8. Jobs could be on the line in this one when Miami visits. As it stands, the Commanders are big-time 10-point underdogs at home against the Dolphins. Here’s how the top NFL betting sites have it pegged:

Miami spread (-10)-110-110-110
Washington spread (+10)-110-110-110

Could head coach Ron Rivera be next on the NFL chopping block? Carolina became the first NFL team to fire its coach, and most believe Washington could be next. Rivera fired defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio after Thanksgiving in a scapegoat move. Any struggles from here on out are squarely on Rivera. This upcoming matchup versus Miami has firing potential if it gets out of hand.

For what it’s worth, we’re fully betting on another lopsided outcome — for both sides. You see, four of eight Washington losses have been by double digits. For Miami, five of its eight wins have been by at least 10 points. We expect both trends to continue come Sunday.

This is because firing Del Rio isn’t enough to fix this Commanders' defense that ranks near the bottom of every category. There’s a lack of talent up and down the unit. That’s manifested in giving up a lot of big plays all 2023. An attack like the Dolphins thrives off the big play with its NFL-leading speed. All this makes us very confident in a bet on Miami to cover the spread.

Over/Under 37 points: Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The worst division in the NFL is, without question, the NFC South. Somehow, the Falcons are leading the group with an abysmal 5-6 mark. Tampa is slightly back with four wins and Carolina is in the cellar with only one victory. This poor showing is exactly what makes us want to bet on the Bucs-Panthers over/under, which is set at a meager 37 points:

Over 37 points-110-110-110
Under 37 points-110-110-110

We won’t lead you on here, we’re betting the under. You just have to given the lack of offensive success from either side. Carolina averages a fourth-worst 15.7 points per game, while Tampa is hardly better at 19.3.

Something to look out for is the status of Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield. He got banged up on Sunday so much that he got an MRI afterward. Results were negative, but Mayfield is sore. That’s not a good sign when the team is already floundering — losing six of the last seven.

As we mentioned earlier, the Panthers already made a coaching change. Frank Reich lasted all of 11 games before getting the boot. Reich had been calling offensive plays before the firing. Panthers currently rank 30th in total offense as quarterback Bryce Young has struggled on a badly run offense. This Carolina team is a mess and removing Reich isn’t going to solve the issues. All things considered, bet the under here.
