Red Bull is seated atop the Miami Grand Prix odds table, as they should be. They’ve dominated this sport after four races, and the gap between them and other teams feels bigger than the Atlantic Ocean that hugs Miami. They’ve won all four races so far — with Verstappen and Perez splitting each. Verstappen is atop the title standings at 93 points with Perez just six shy of him.
The next-closest driver on the season-long leaderboard? Fernando Alonso, who is 33 points behind Verstappen. The Aston Martin had his three-straight podium streak snapped this past weekend, though he placed fourth overall at Azerbaijan. Perez edged his teammate to win, but third place (Charles Leclerc) was 21 seconds off of first place. As we said, it’s been Red Bull domination of epic proportions so far.
We should also mention that Verstappen won the first-ever Miami race a year ago. Leclerc won the pole, but Verstappen passed him on Lap 9 of 57 and never looked back again. Ultimately, Leclerc finished runner-up with just under four seconds off. His Ferrari teammate, Carlos Sainz, rounded out the podium.
As a reminder, the track zooms around Hard Rock Stadium — where the city’s NFL team (the Dolphins) calls home. The Autodrome is a temporary track that stretches 3.36 miles. The circuit is made up of 19 turns in all. The road has been re-paved while minor alterations have been made to the Turn 14/15 chicane. But aside from that, just about everything remains the same from the 2022 debut.
