Future goalscorer EPL predictions & analysis

The busy Premier League holidays fixture list continues with some exciting fixtures. Chelsea could set a record for consecutive games won. Can the Blues rewrite history?

Tottenham Hotspur (+180) vs. Chelsea (+155)

Chelsea

Chelsea equalled Arsenal’s record of winning 13 consecutive league matches when they beat Stoke City 4-2 at Stamford Bridge and will set their own record if they can claim all three points against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

When Chelsea drew 2-2 with Spurs in May 2016, it handed the Premier League title to Leicester City so Tottenham is out for revenge in this encounter after Chelsea, with a 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane in May, ensured Spurs wouldn't win the Premier League title in 2016.

Both Chelsea and Tottenham have rock solid defences so it should be a low scoring, tightly contested match. Look at the under 2.5 goals market priced at -110. I also like the look of the Draw No Bet for Chelsea at -120 with Bovada.

As much as I love to see new records set, I think Tottenham have too much in their locker to lose to Chelsea.

Pick: Under 2.5 goals at -110

Sunderland (+750) vs. Liverpool (-300)

Liverpool

We predicted that Sunderland would be one of the three teams to be relegated this season, and did so before a ball had been kicked.

The Black Cats look determined to prove us correct. Sunderland capitulated in their game against Burnley, losing 4-1 on the road to fall two points from safety.

Sunderland have only scored 17 goals this season, the second-worst total in the league. They've conceded a staggering 35 goals in 19 games and must contend with a visit from the league’s top scorers.

Liverpool beat Manchester City 1-0 in their last outing, a result that confirmed their genuine contender status.

Over 2.5 goals at -160 looks like an absolute steal.

Pick: Liverpool-Liverpool Half Time / Full Time result at -145

West Ham United (+425) vs. Manchester United (-165)

West Ham

West Ham United have struggled for form this season and now have to take on a Manchester United team that have won five league games in a row.

West Ham will be without a quartet of players while Manchester United, who left it late to come from behind to beat Middlesbrough 2-1 a couple of days ago, will be without defender Eric Bailly who is on his way to the Africa Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast.

The +425 odds on a West Ham win do look tempting, but I’m edging towards a draw at +300, a result that most West Ham fans would take right now. Both teams should score so perhaps look at the 1-1 draw at +600 if you’re wanting to predict a correct score.

Bovada Odds

Pick: Draw at +300

Other Premier League Fixtures

Middlesbrough (+165) vs. Leicester City (+180)

Manchester City (-700) vs. Burnley (+1600)

Everton (+120) vs. Southampton (+240)

West Bromwich Albion (-15) vs. Hull City (+400)

Bournemouth (+330) vs. Arsenal (-125)

Crystal Palace (-130) vs. Swansea City (+365)

Stoke City (-110) vs. Watford (+310)
