How To Bet The NASCAR 2019 Championship Finale

How To Bet The NASCAR 2019 Championship Finale

Everything is on the line at the Homestead-Miami Speedway this Sunday. The NASCAR championship field is down to four drivers and a win at the Ford EcoBoost 400 will vault one into a triumphant title win. Here’s a full preview to the race, including our free betting pick to make!

Nascar odds are out to win the 2019 NASCAR Championship and it's a virtual dead heat between these four drivers:

  • Kyle Busch (+250)
  • Martin Truex Jr. (+250)
  • Denny Hamlin (+275)
  • Kevin Harvick (+275)

Sunday's Ford EcoBoost 400, the final race of the NASCAR season, will determine the eventual title winner. We'll break down each driver's NASCAR final 4 odds heading into the all-important finale.

Before we get to that, a quick reminder that there's an abundance of bonus offers available at different sportsbooks. These promotions are for first-time bettors and can reap you hundreds in free money. No, that's not a typo, free money can really be yours!

When picking apart the NASCAR Vegas odds between the final four, it's an absolute must to see how each has performed on Sunday's speedway in the past.

Why? Because Sunday is a winner-take-all affair. Playoff points are irrelevant at this point. Whichever of the four finishes highest in South Florida wins the Cup Series no matter what. This impacts the NASCAR Final Four odds.

Making things more difficult for bettors is each driver has experienced success at the Homestead-Miami Speedway before. All four have at least one first-place finish to their name here.

Though, Hamlin is the lone multi-time winner of the event, coming out victorious in 2009 and 2013. The caveat is Hamlin is also the only one in the group that has never won a NASCAR Cup Series.

Whereas Truex claimed his NASCAR championship with a first-place finish at the speedway in 2017. Harvick also took the checkered flag in 2014, while Busch followed in first the following year — both clinching the Cup Series with triumphant wins at the Ford EcoBoost 400.

With each having almost equal success in this event, let's look at other factors that could prove to be difference-makers come Sunday.

Riding Momentum Into A Championship

Sure, past race results in 2019 mean little now that it's a do-or-die finale, but season-long momentum shouldn't be overlooked, either. It could prove valuable to see who's on the slightly hotter streak.

Among the final four, Truex Jr. has the most first-place finishes this calendar year with seven. Hamlin is right behind with six, while both Harvick and Busch have four apiece.

It should be noted that Hamlin is fresh off a victory at last week's Bluegreen Vacations 500 in Phoenix. This after being on the verge of elimination the week before after a costly spinout down in Texas.

Hamlin is without a doubt the best active driver without a Cup Series title. He's come mighty close twice, in 2010 and 2014, but no cigar.

We have a strong inkling that this is finally going to be Hamlin's year. He's always been a confident driver, but this year there seems to be a little extra swagger to him.

It started with an emotional win at the Daytona 500 to start the season, where he outlasted Busch in a two-lap overtime dash. In the post-race celebration, he honored the late JD Gibbs, co-founder of Hamlin's Joe Gibbs Racing team.

The team actually has three of the four finalists on its roster. Along with Hamlin, Busch and Truex Jr. are also part of the club

But getting back to Hamlin, there's just an edge to him in 2019. It's tough to put a finger on, but the results speak for themselves. Along with six outright wins, he's placed top-5 on 19 different occasions this year.

The 39-year-old Hamlin is putting together a Hall of Fame-caliber career. He's just missing that elusive Cup Series. However, that all changes on Sunday with a legacy-defining win for Hamlin.

Ford EcoBoost 400 Betting Picks

Of course, the NASCAR championship isn't the only bet to make ahead of Sunday. While only four racers are in championship contention, the full field will still race at the Homestead-Miami speedway. Odds to win the race are as follows:

  • Denny Hamlin (+300)
  • Kevin Harvick (+300)
  • Kyle Busch (+300)
  • Martin Truex Jr. (+300)
  • Kyle Larson (+600)

Bovada NASCAR odds are available for the entire field, but the aforementioned five are the top favorites.

Recent history tells one of the four remaining playoff contenders will win the Ford EcoBoost 400, and with that, the entire Cup Series. At least that's what's occurred in five straight finals dating back to 2014.

We're going to bet that the trend will continue in 2019. As mentioned before, we think it's Hamlin's year so you need to double up on No. 11 here.

How To Watch The Race

The Cup Series finale airs live on Sunday at 3 pm EST on NBC network television. For streamers, NBC Sports App will have a live feed, especially hand for mobile users on the go.

As mentioned, this event will wrap up the 2019 season for NASCAR. The action doesn't rev back up until February 2020 so don't let this last betting opportunity slip by.

With that, you should be all set for Sunday's festivities, well, almost ready. All that remains is to take our advice and drop a wager. You can bet on the NASCAR championship, the Ford EcoBoost 400, or both.

Anyone of our partners below can help you drop said bet(s). They're all highly reputable and make wagering pain-free with a quick sign-up process and a number of cash deposit methods.
