"The player's choice" — that's what WagerWeb calls themselves underneath its masthead online. But does the online betting site actually live up to those lofty claims?

In some ways, they certainly do. After all, WagerWeb eu has been in business since the mid-'90s. If they weren't some player's choice, they wouldn't still be in business four decades later. Still, they tend to fly under the radar compared to many of the best online sportsbook.

While not as popular, WagerWeb fares well against competitors in more ways than one. We explain those strong points, as well as its shortcomings, over the course of this WagerWeb review. We left no stone unturned to give you the best look at this long-standing betting site!

Getting Set Up On WagerWeb

To get access to the full wealth of WagerWeb ag features, you'll need to create a wagering account with them, which is completely free of cost.

To do so, head over to the Wager Web homepage. There, you'll see a "Join Now" button front and center. Click into it and you'll be instructed to enter user details. Not unlike any other account creation process, it's basic information such as name, email, password, address, etc. This should take you a minute or two before you're all set up.

Awaiting you on the other side of sign up is a free-money offer from WagerWeb themselves. Yes, you read that right, and it's easy to redeem.

New Sign Ups Mean Big Bucks At WagerWeb

Welcome bonuses are abundant in today's online betting climate. Still, the one offered up by WagerWeb is comparable to some of the best online betting offers.

Upon signing up and depositing money into your account, WagerWeb will match the deposit with free money by 50 percent. The max payout here is $500, thus meaning you'll have to insert $1000 to earn the top payout.

That's just one of multiple bonuses offered at WagerWeb, but one we had to mention in case you were on the fence about signing up to WagerWeb.

Transferring Money In And Out Of WagerWeb

Remember earlier when we mentioned WagerWeb targets US players? That's easy to infer considering all account balances and transactions inside WagerWeb are based on the US dollar.

Now that doesn't mean other currencies aren't accepted at WagerWeb. They are, however, all will be adjusted to the US dollar — which can cost you money due to the exchange rate and/or associated foreign transaction fees.

WagerWeb Deposit Methods

On WagerWeb, bettors have five different ways to fund their betting account — bank wire, card, check, Bitcoin, and person-to-person transfer.

There are pros and cons to each one. Without question, the most advantageous method is Bitcoin. It’s free, fast, and secure. Moreover, the WagerBet minimum deposit with Bitcoin is a measly $25, whereas the max is $10,000 per transaction.

We understand not all bettors are on the digital currency bandwagon yet, so bank wire and debit/credit card will be two more popular options. Currently, WagerWeb accepts VISA and Mastercard only. It’s not unheard of for payments to WagerWeb being canceled by card providers — because of the foreign transaction — so it might be a good idea to notify them ahead of time.

As for bank wires, that’s only available to US and Canadian players. The hassle doesn't end there, though. Deposits through this method can't be done seamlessly while logged in. Instead, you’ll have to reach out to customer service directly to initiate the transfer.

An even more cumbersome way to deposit is through check. This will be the slowest method by far. Mailing it to WagerWeb directly for processing can take multiple business days or even weeks (all depending on your location) and who wants to wait around to bet? Certainly not us and probably not you!

Person-to-person is the final payment method and probably the least-used. This allows transfers between WagerWeb player accounts. Like bank wire, you'll need to contact customer service to set up this transfer.

WagerWeb Withdrawal Methods

While options are plentiful for depositing, cashing out on WagerWeb can only be done in two manners — Bitcoin or check. Both are widely different from one another.

Here again, Bitcoin has the clear upper hand. That’s because WagerWeb allows you to cash out via Bitcoin once a day, every week. Believe it or not, some online sites put restrictions on the number of withdrawals that can be made through the crypto (or another method), but not WagerWeb.

Bitcoin cashouts have pretty loose limits, as well. The WagerBet maximum withdrawal is $3000 per transaction or $10000 a week.

While Bitcoin payouts won’t cost you a penny, a check can. When using the check method, you’re entitled to one free payout from WagerWeb every 30 days. However, if you need another one, you’ll be docked a flat fee of $50 per transaction.

Even worse, payout times can be extremely slow. It can range anywhere between 10 and 15 business days, all depending on where you have the check mailed too. By comparison, Bitcoin cashouts post within one business day.

There’s seriously no reason why you shouldn’t be using Bitcoin to insert and withdraw money at WagerWeb or any other betting site for that matter. As we’ve outlined, the convenience factor of Bitcoin, plus the bonus promotions, make the crypto more than worthwhile.

WagerWeb Betting Experience

The full breadth of betting options is available inside WagerWeb — a sportsbook, racebook, and casino (both in the traditional and live form).

Let's begin with the sportsbook, which is WagerWeb's crown jewel. If you've placed a sports bet online anywhere else before, you've practically bet on them all. That's because most online sportsbooks are pretty straight forward, including Wager Web.

The left-hand menu of the sportsbook is your "remote control" if you will. On it, you'll see all the betting options at your disposal. At WagerWeb, that's a ton because they carry everything from big-name leagues like the NFL and NBA to obscure sports like eGaming. Heck, you'll even find non-sport wagers like US presidential election odds.

That level of variety isn't exclusive to just the games and leagues it covers with odds, but the actual bet types too. Few competitors, if any, rival WagerWeb when it comes to prop bets offered. These wagers are a great way to break the monotony of betting spreads or over/under point totals — which are still available at WagerWeb, by the way.

The WagerWeb casino definitely plays second fiddle to the sportsbook, but it's not a knock by any means. There are around 100 different casino games to choose from — not bad, but not great either. Half of those are slot machines, while the rest is rounded out by video poker or table games.

WagerWeb Mobile Experience

In the event that you're away from your desktop computer but need to keep tabs on bets (or make one), you can take WagerWeb with you on the go via WagerWeb mobile

To do so, just access the site from a web browser on your mobile device. You'll then be automatically redirected to m WagerWeb ag, which is a mirror image of the normal WagerWeb full site — without losing any features whatsoever.

However, we did notice the casino games were more buggy when using WagerWeb ag mobile. That's not to say they didn't work (they did), but there was a noticeable lag in response time.

Aside from that, we were pleased with the WagerWeb mobile experience. Depositing money, requesting a cashout, or betting on a given game were all done without any hassle.
