Australian Open Men’s Singles Winner Betting Prediction
We begin on the men’s side, and we can all probably guess who’s the favorite at the best tennis betting sites. Yep, Novak Djokovic is indeed the odds-on favorite on the men’s Australian Open bracket. Here are the top betting contenders:

It’s hard to NOT bet on Djokovic, right? He’s on a hunt for his 25th Grand Slam, extending his own record for most of all time. The 36-year-old showed zero signs of slowing down in 2023 too. If not for one loss to Alcaraz at Wimbledon, Djokovic would’ve swept the 2023 Grand Slams. Not only that, but the hard court of Australia favors him big time. He’s up to 30 straight wins at this event and owns a record 10 titles (including the last four he’s played in).
However, if you’re looking for a reason to fade Djokovic, he is a tad banged up despite the season just starting. At the United Cup earlier this week (also in Australia), he played with a wrist injury before being eliminated by Alex de Minaur. On the flip side, he had a balky hamstring a year ago and won the Grand Slam anyway. We suppose you don’t become the all-time great as he has without knowing how to battle through injuries.
Of course, Djokovic will likely be challenged by several young contenders. Alcaraz has proven to be a foil of his in the past, but Sinner is another strong candidate to dethrone Djokovic (he did beat him recently at the Davis Cup in November). Of the two, we’re a tad higher on Sinner going into this event than Alcaraz. He plays better on the hard court than Alcaraz and finished 2023 with a standout year — he won titles in Toronto, Beijing, and Vienna.
If you want to go against the grain, Sinner should be choice number one. There’s a group consensus that he’s ready to take the next step and form a new “Big Three” with Alcaraz and Djokovic. However, not getting cute and just taking Djokovic makes the most sense here. More times than not, it’s not a smart idea to bet against greatness, and that’s Djokovic — especially in Australia. Take the favorite here and do so quickly. As the tournament goes on, Djokovic’s betting line is only going to lose value so take the decent odds while you have ‘em.
Australian Open Women’s Singles Winner Betting Prediction

Let’s start with Sabalenka, the 2023 reigning champion. So far, she’s taken care of business at the event, continuing the momentum she built up in 2023. The thing with her that gives us pause is she was convincingly beaten in straight sets at last week’s Brisbane International final by Rybakina. It was one-sided enough to scare us away from betting on her.
Well, what about Rybakina? The 2023 Australian Open runner-up wouldn’t be a bad bet, however, she’s drawn against who we do think is going to win this tourney, and that’s Swiatek (the two could face in the semis with the way the bracket is set up).
We have a sneaking suspicion that Swiatek gets over the hump — in Melbourne at least. The four-time Grand Slam winner has struggled at this event historically and has never reached an Australian Open final. However, she’s playing with a renewed sense of confidence since losing the No. 1 ranking last year. That confidence, and gradual improvements to her game, make us Swiatek believers here. Take her to the bank!
