NCAAF 2019-20 Bowl Season Picks To Make
It’s the jolliest time of the year — the college football bowl season. With 40 different NCAAF postseason games to be on, we found the three bets you need to make (and we stuck to games that matter, not the Idaho Potato Bowl). See our free betting picks here!
All eyes on the College Football Playoff. Online sportsbooks have odds for each of the four remaining teams and it looks something like this:
- LSU (+115)
- Ohio State (+215)
- Clemson (+215)
- Oklahoma (+1000)
We're going to break down both CFP semi-finals matchup soon. However, before we get to that, we must do our holiday duty and remind you about the countless welcome promotions currently available online. Leveraging any one of these can net you a hefty payout — and the doesn't include the winnings from these picks!
Fiesta Bowl: No. 3 Clemson (-2) vs. No. 2 Ohio State
No two programs dominated the season from start to finish more than these two. Both finished tops in the nation in average margin of victory — Ohio State at one (36.2 points) and Clemson right behind at two (35.2 points). Somethings got to give in this matchup between undefeated foes.
It'll be close, but there's something to be said about the heart of a champion. Much of this Tigers team was apart of last year's national title winner as well. They'll be a little more poise come game time than a relatively young and unproven Buckeyes roster.
Betting pick to make: Clemson (-2)
Peach Bowl: No. 1 LSU (-13.5) vs. No. 4 Oklahoma
We're going to go ahead and say this out loud: the Sooners are being overlooked big time as near two-touchdown underdogs.
Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley will soon have NFL owners clamoring for him. He's become a rare quarterback whisperer after sending three straight signal-callers into the Heisman finalist vote — first with Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray (both ended up winning the award then becoming No. 1 overall NFL picks) and now with Jalen Hurts (runner-up in voting).
What Riley has done with Hurts — a castoff of Nick Saban at Alabama — is simply phenomenal. Using Hurts' dual-threat ability to move the chains and eat up the clock (effectively keeping the Tiger's high-octane offense sidelined) will be key if Oklahoma wants to pull off the stunning upset.
We don't think they will, but they'll at least keep it a two-score game. Go against the grain and take the Sooners' spread.
Betting pick to make: Oklahoma (+13.5)
Citrus Bowl: Alabama (-7.5) vs. Michigan
Saban vs. Jim Harbaugh — that's the story of this one.
The narrative for each coach is pretty set in stone at this point. Saban is the proverbial winner with an NCAA-record six national championships, while Harbaugh is the big-game choker.
We expect the Tide to completely roll here. In what's a down year for the Saban-led program, they still finished 10-2 with those defeats coming in heart-breaking fashion to LSU (the nation's best team) and Auburn (a bitter rival on the road).
Plus, it's not just that Harbaugh can't win big games (he's lost three bowl games in a row with the Wolverines), he can't even stay competitive in them. Lopsided losses in last year's Peach Bowl (a 41-15 beatdown from Florida) and to Ohio State every year have all but sealed Harbaugh's fate.
Betting pick to make: Alabama (-7.5)
That does it for a NCAAF postseason bowl picks. We hope you heed our advice and lock bets with the above teams.
