This tournament is already underway. That means the Monte-Carlo Masters odds will be in flux. If you’re reading this days after publishing it, chances are the lines have moved. Still, let’s take a look at the current lines to level-set our picks to win. Here are the players most favored to win across the best tennis betting sites:

As we hinted, the Monte-Carlo Masters has been prone to unpredictability as of late. Those conditions are fun for observers, but less so for bettors. A year ago, none of the top-four seeds even made it into the semis before Andrey Rublev topped Holger Rune in the title match. Before that, Stefanos Tsitsipas won consecutive titles when he was a little less known than nowadays.

Some of that same unpredictability has already stuck. For one, the defending champion, Rublev, was knocked out in stunning fashion by Alexei Popyrin. Two, Carlos Alcaraz is also out of the tourney. Though, it’s not because of a loss, but instead due to injury. The Spaniard phenom has a wrist injury and withdrew from the event. The injury puts his status for upcoming events in Barcelona and Madrid — his home country events — in question. The other famous Spaniard, Rafael Nadal, is also out at the moment.

Without those two, Djokovic becomes the unquestioned favorite to win, as the odds suggest. But we’ll be blunt right now and say Djokovic isn’t getting any of our money here. For one, we think there’s more rich betting value elsewhere. But two, the aura of invincibility has seemingly been knocked off Djokovic.

The Serbian legend remains ranked No. 1 but has had a slow 2024 season by his lofty standards. At the Australian Open — his specialty tournament — Djokovic was trounced by Sinner. Even more recently at the Indian Wells, the little-known Luca Nardi bounced Djokovic. Perhaps Djokovic is losing a step or maybe he’s just laser-focused on more marquee events like Grand Slams and the Olympics.

Plus, the clay courts — the surface being played at the Monte-Carlos Masters — have never been Djokovic’s strong suit. The 36-year-old has only won this event twice in his career (2013 and 2015). It’s been the weakest Masters 1000 event of his all-time career. In fact, if Djokovic were to win here, he will have won every Masters 1000, every Grand Slam, and the Nitto ATP Finals at least three times. But again, we’re betting that doesn’t happen.

Who To Bet To Win 2024 Monte-Carlos Masters

If not Djokovic or Alcaraz, then who’s the best bet at the Monte-Carlos Masters? Welp, there are two players we’re eyeing with bets and they are as follows:

Jannik Sinner

This pick should come as absolutely zero surprise to anyone who’s followed the sport closely in 2024. The Italian has taken the step into “elite” territory this year with a sizzling campaign. Last week, Sinner won the Miami Open, improving his 2024 record to 22-1. This run also includes an Australian Open title and now No. 2 world ranking.

Sinner’s single loss this year? To Alcaraz at the Indian Wells. With no Alcaraz in the field in Monaco, there’s no reason why Sinner can’t continue his hot streak. While Sinner plays at his best on hard courts, not necessarily on clay, he has proved adept on clay winning the 2022 Croatian Open over Alcaraz of all people.

We’re slamming a bet on Sinner at the Monte-Carlos Masters. No other player is playing at his level so far in 2024 so that’s a trend you’d be smart to bet behind. If it ends up with Djokovic and Sinner in the final, you’ll have solace in knowing Sinner has won three of the last four head-to-head meetings.

Casper Rudd

This is a darkhorse bet. There are bettors out there who love “going against the grain” and if you’re in that camp, Rudd is worth a look. His betting value is quite good at +600.

The reason we’re big into Rudd here is because he’s built for the clay courts. Over his career, Rudd has qualified for 33 ATP semi-finals. A whopping 25 of them have been on clay courts, which include two runner-ups at the French Open. Rudd has a serious shot at upsetting the field here, thus making him a solid alternative bet.
