It’s finally conference-playing time across college hoops. This is the quintessential time to pick out which programs will win their respective conference titles at season's end. You’re going to want to read this to get our three favorite futures bets on NCAAB conference champs!
ACC Champion Betting Pick
To preface, all these bets are on the regular-season conference champions — not the tournament ones. With that out of the way, let’s have a look-see at the current ACC betting odds. It’s the usual suspects atop the board, which are available at top betting sites for basketball. Here it is:

You probably have to bet on either Duke or North Carolina — the programs that have most dominated the conference over the past few decades. While both storied programs are ushering in new eras with new coaches, the winning has remained a constant.
If we had to choose one of the two, we’re siding with the Tar Heels ever so slightly. They are 4-0 in conference play and even before that, racked up impressive Quad I wins over the likes of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. We’re betting that a tough nonconference slate will prime UNC for the rest of the season.
If you’re against betting one of the bluebloods and want to take on extra risk, then you can’t go wrong with Wake Forrest as a “sleeper” pick. They’ve caught the whole conference by surprise with an 11-4, 3-1 record so far. A 9-game win streak just ended at the hands of Florida State, but this team is for real. Seven-foot transfer from Gonzaga Efton Reid has changed the trajectory of the whole program practically overnight.
SEC Betting Pick
This might be the most competitive conference in all of college basketball. That’s reflected in the up-to-date SEC betting odds too. Look at this crapshoot:

Kentucky and Tennessee are both ranked top-10 in the country, therefore, starting with one of them makes a whole lot of sense. The Wildcats catch our attention a tad more for the same reasons we picked UNC earlier: strong nonconference record. Kentucky ran through a gauntlet compared to other ACC contenders.
Hate him or love him, coach John Calipari has assembled another loaded team — mostly of freshmen. While the transfer portal has evolved the game, Calipari has stuck to his one-and-done formula for this season. Freshmen D.J. Wagner, Justin Edwards and Rob Dillingham are all expected to be NBA Draft picks soon. But for now, they’re leading the Wildcats and could carry them to the conference title.
Auburn is worth a look too, however. Many bettors wrote them off after a head-scratching loss to Appalachian State earlier this season. However, they’ve shrugged that off with a 12-2 record so far. Bruce Pearl is one of the best coaches in the game, which always makes Auburn a contender no matter what.
The Tigers are the opposite of Kentucky with their experience. The top two players on this squad are junior Johnny Broome and senior Jaylin Williams. However, that’s not to say they don’t have some fresh talent either. Freshman Aden Holloway checks that box. All this is to say Auburn has the perfect mix of experience and youth to make a real run in this conference.
At these odds, we think it’s worth putting money on BOTH Auburn and Kentucky. Even if one is a guaranteed loser, you’d still come up profitable because both are plus-money odds. As we said, the SEC is deep — and we mean deep. In that scenario, going with two bets is a smart move.
Mountain West Betting Pick
Alright, we know the Mountain West Conference doesn’t get all that much attention since it’s a non-Power 5, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth putting money on. Here are the teams most favored to win the Mountain West by oddsmakers:

There is currently three top-25-ranked teams in the MW — Colorado, San Diego State, and Utah State. This is a strong conference and all those ranked squads are worth a betting look.
Out of the trio, we’re favoring Utah State. They just beat Colorado State 77-72 so they should be moving up the top-25 ranks soon. This program doesn’t have the name recognition of SD State (last year’s March Madness tourney runner-ups), but they’ve been sneaky good for a while now. This feels like the year when it all comes together for the Aggies.
