UFC 269 takes place on Saturday, December 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Here are the three bets worth backing on that night:

Moneyline: Charles Oliveira vs. Dustin Poirier

As they say, styles make fights and in this light heavyweight championship bout, it's a clash of those styles. The champion, Oliveira, is as good of a grappler as anyone in the UFC. He's used that technique to win 14 times by submission — a UFC all-time record. Poirier, on the other hand, is a proficient striker. Half of his 28 wins are by knockout. Those opposite strengths are why the Oliveira-Poirier moneyline is so close.

When evaluating this fight, we can't help but think of Oliveira's previous bout, where he first won the gold against Michael Chandler. Akin to Poirier, Chandler likes standing up and swinging. He effectively did that, almost finishing Oliveira in the first round. Admittedly, Oliveira recovered and came back with a second-round TKO of his own.

Still, Oliveira's shoddy defense that night makes us wonder whether he'll survive the same type of onslaught from Poirier. We honestly doubt he does. While Oliveira has won nine fights in a row, none of those opponents can strike at the level of Poirier. He's earning our bet to become the NEW lightweight champion of the world.

Exact Method Of Victory: Charles Oliveira vs. Dustin Poirier

This fight is too juicy to just lay one bet on it. No, no, you almost have to hit the prop market too. One of our favorite props is the exact method of victory bet. Betting odds for it aren't live at top online sportsbooks yet, but they will be the closer December 11 approaches.

Considering the over/under is set at 1.5 rounds at most bookmakers, that would hint oddsmakers think an early stoppage is imminent. Hey, given these two fighters' pedigree, that's a smart thought process that we agree with.

Since we've already called a Poirier, our top two betting options are victory by submission or knockout. A submission victory would be a complete shocker. While Dustin can grapple himself, he's not going to outmaneuver Oliveira on the ground. Therefore, our betting prediction is Poirier stops him with a KO/TKO in the third round.

Poirier's striking ability has greatly improved over the years. That's been on full display as of late. Four of his last six wins have come through knockout, including two against Conor McGregor. It's very obvious that "The Diamond" not only has power in his punches but precision too.

It's also worth mentioning that Oliveira has shown a vulnerability to strikes before. Earlier in his career, he was stopped by the likes of Paul Felder, Max Holloway, Donald Cerrone, and Cub Swanson. Our money says that in a few weeks, Poirier will be added to that list.

Exact Method Of Victory: Amanda Nunes vs. Julianna Pena

If you've bet one Nunes fight before, you know what's the deal. Moneyline wagers just aren't worth it since she's always favored big time, like -900 against Pena at UFC 269. To extract friendlier betting value, we're also choosing the exact method of victory prop to bet on with Nunes vs. Pena.

Assuming a Nunes win — which you should since she's the GOAT — stoppage seems par for the course. Over her brilliant career, Nunes has won 17 of 21 fights by stoppage (13 knockouts and four submissions). That trend should continue in this bantamweight title fight considering Pena's 10-4 record doesn't exactly jump off the page.

We're choosing the KO. This fight has gotten personal between the two, especially after Pena accused Nunes of "picking" opponents and avoiding her. Welp, there will be no avoiding Nunes brutal right fists at UFC 269 so take the TKO/KO bet.
