Things have been moving fast for the National Hockey League, as the playoffs are going to get here before you know it. Thus far this season, several teams have emerged as the key contenders to win the Stanley Cup. At the same time, multiple franchises have set themselves apart out east. With that said, Carolina […]

Seattle Sounders (-155) vs. Atlanta United (+395) 10pm
Last year's MLS Champions Seattle Sounders have stuttered a little in starting their defense of the MLS Cup with a win, tie and loss in their opening three games. Here's a reminder of how The Sounders took the MLS Cup on Toronto's own ground in last season's dramatic climax:
Atlanta United have surprised many with two wins from their opening three games. In Seattle, however, they may have run into an opponent with too much MLS experience. The Sounders are +125 to win the first half, and if Atlanta show their hosts too much respect, then that could be a very good bet.
Atlanta are no pushovers, however, and we also like Seattle Sounders to win with both teams scoring (+220). Seattle are unbeaten in their last dozen home games with ten wins and two ties (including playoffs).
With Jordan Morris 50/50 to make the starting line-up after recovering from a knock, Clint Dempsey is a mouth-watering +400 to score first with two MLS Goals already this season. Atlanta's MLS top scorer Josef Martinez (five goals) is +150 to score at anytime and we love that for a 90-minute sweat.

Minnesota United (+195) vs. Real Salt Lake (+130) 8pm ET
Minnesota's latest challenge comes in the form of visitors Real Salt Lake, who themselves have not enjoyed the best of starts to the MLS regular season. RSL sacked coach Jeff Cassar last week, replacing him with Mike Petke. Despite Petke's appointment, they'll be led out by interim head coach Daryl Shore on Saturday after shutting out the New York Red Bulls last weekend.
Minnesota United have the worst defense across both conferences (18 goals conceded in four games) and they meet the worst attack in Real Salt Lake (one goal in 360 minutes of soccer). The biggest worry for Minnesota is the size of their roster.
They look in desperate need of reinforcements already, and despite scoring six times in four games, have only a single tie to show for it. Neither side has won in eight games between them, but RSL simply must do so at home. To win by a single goal, RSL are +300 (below via Bovada), while the half-time/full-time away win is +280.
Vancouver Whitecaps (+130) vs. L.A. Galaxy (+215) 10pm ET
While the hosts this weekend, Vancouver Whitecaps, have got off to a poor start to the regular season, L.A. Galaxy simply aren't the team they were a few years ago. Timbers won out west last time out:
Back Vancouver at +130. They have a strong home record, losing only five home games in two years, including an unbeaten knockout record. Also take under 1.5 goals at +275 and both teams not to score (Evens).
