Without question, this is the game of the night. The Hurricanes are 17-6-1 and sport one of the league's most efficient offenses. Calgary is right up there too, thanks to a 15-6-5 mark, good enough to lead the Pacific division.

And perhaps more troubling, for a team with its top-notch record, they're awfully pedestrian when playing on their home ice. This season, Calgary is 4-2-3 at home compared to 11-4-2 on the road. Away from their arena, the Hurricanes is 10-3-1 so far — another shocking but true feat. Our money says that trend continues with a road victory against a sluggish-playing Flames squad.

When evaluating this over/under goal total between the Bruins and Oilers, it needs to be mentioned the chaos surrounding Boston right now. The same chaos that will likely have a dramatic effect on the scoring efforts of both sides.
Illnesses have swept through the Bruins. Head coach Bruce Cassidy will not be on the bench due to catching COVID-19, leaving Joe Sacco as the acting manager. On the player side, the likes of Charlie Coyle, Matt Grzelcyk, Tomas Nosek, and Linus Ullmark are all battling a non-COVID illness. A few of them have returned to the lineup, but there has to be some lingering effects with the group.
Oh, and did we mention Boston began a three-game Canadian road trip last night versus Vancouver? Playing back-to-back is tough as is, little less with all the illness the team is dealing with. Those problems create a perfect opportunity for Edmonton to take advantage whilst at home. With its dynamic offense — ranking fourth-best in the league at goals per game (3.54) — we expect the Oilers to keep the scoreboard busy and push this past the over almost single-handedly.
