After a thrilling postseason leading up to this stage, only two teams are left in the hunt to take home the Larry O'Brien Trophy. That's right, both the Pacers and Thunder were able to get the job done in the conference finals. Now, they have their eyes on the glory. With that said, it should be no surprise that Oklahoma City is a big favorite to win the 2025 NBA Finals over Indiana.
Will the Thunder be able to make some history this time around? Since the franchise made the move from Seattle to OKC, the Thunder have never won the title, but this feels like the year they could get things done. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been unreal, while Chet Holmgren has also been impressive. Those two are no question the leaders for this team.

A question a lot of people have on their minds right now is how many games will the 2025 NBA Finals last? Let's be real here, not many people thought Oklahoma City and Indiana would be meeting with the title on the line. The Celtics were the favorites in the Eastern Conference, but Jayson Tatum tearing his Achilles changed everything for the reigning champs.
With that said, Oklahoma City has long been the class of the Western Conference and they're living up to the hype. The Pacers have been a bit of a Cinderella story, however, with Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam looking brilliant throughout the playoffs. He was named the regular season MVP, with things coming down to him and Nuggets star Nikola Jokic. A lot of Denver fans remain upset over how things went down there, but Gilgeous-Alexander never slowed down and he now has his team on the verge of winning the title.
Should Oklahoma City pull things off against Indiana, which we're expecting, there's no question that SGA is going to be the offensive leader for the squad. Whenever the Thunder need him to drill a big shot, he's there to deliver for OKC. The same is going to be the case against the Pacers, no doubt about that one.
According to the Vegas oddsmakers, Gilgeous-Alexander has been given +105 betting odds to win NBA Finals MVP this year. From our chair, it would be a total stunner if he doesn't capture the honor. Soon enough, we'll see how this series shapes out, but we're also expecting Gilgeous-Alexander to look like his dominant self. He's our pick 100 percent to be named NBA Finals MVP this year.
