These promotions can net you hundreds of dollars in free play and what's not to like about that? Leverage them to earn a mighty good payout — on top of the one from NCAA basketball winnings, of course!

Which Blueblood Will Surve The ACC?

Let's begin our betting guide with the most prestigious conference in all of college hoops, the Atlantic Coast Conference. Fresh off earning three separate number-one seeds in the 2019 NCAA Tournament, the ACC remains as loaded as ever.

Current NCAA basketball bettings odds have these four teams with the best chances at winning the conference crown:

  • Duke (+275)
  • Virginia (+300)
  • Louisville (+400)
  • North Carolina (+600)

Every year it seems like the Blue Devils are the team to beat, at least according to preseason hype and Vegas odds NCAA basketball.

Yet, Duke ever rarely delivers on the preseason promise. During this decade, they've won just two NCAA titles (2010 and 2015), four conference tournaments (2010, 2011, 2017, and 2019) and zero conference regular-season titles.

The above results certainly wouldn't bad for every other basketball program, but for the Blue Devils — with their flood five-star recruits year after year — you'd kind of expect more. That's a big reason why we're pessimistic about Mike Krzyzewski's team this year.

New for Coach K is four prized recruits — Vernon Carey Jr., Matthew Hurt, Wendell Moore, and Cassius Stanley — that finished top-35 in ESPN's 2019 class rankings.

Talent-wise, the cup isn't bare, but those freshmen will have giant shoes to fill, as in the shoes of three top-10 NBA draft picks (RJ Barrett, Cam Reddish, and Zion Williamson).

Avoid the Duke and Virginia (the reigning national champions) hype and pick Louisville here. Post-Rick Pitino, the program is back on track.

While most ACC foes are reloading with new talent, the Cardinals return junior Jordan Nwora, who most expect to be conference player of the year caliber. A prolific scorer, Nwora is the type of difference-maker that can key a program to a conference title.

Betting pick: Louisville (+400)

Cutting Down The Nets In March

We touched on this earlier, but here are more contenders pegged with the best NCAA basketball odds to championship come March Madness:

  • Michigan State (+650)
  • Kentucky (+750)
  • Duke (+850)
  • Memphis (+1000)
  • Virginia (+1100)
  • Kansas (+1300)
  • North Carolina (+1400)

We desperately tried to find a reason why Michigan State won't live up to its preseason number-one ranking, but we're grasping for straws. This team should be every bit as good as pundits believe.

For one, head coach Tom Izzo is one of the finest in the nation. He routinely has the Spartans making deep runs in March Madness, even with less-talented teams. But believe us, this year's squad isn't lacking in the talent department.

Running the offense again is point guard — perhaps the best one in the entire country at that — Cassius Winston. The senior was at the helm of last year's squad that made a Final Four run. Winston is the type of player that makes his teammates better and that's a hard-to-find quality during the Big Dance.

Winston is one of five returning players with starting experience on the Spartans team. If the past two title winners — Villanova and Virginia — proved anything, it's that experience rules supreme during tournament time, not one-and-done prospects.

The Big Ten hasn't won a national title since 2000 — coincidentally, courtesy of Izzo-led Spartans. We expect that streak to end exactly two decades later via Izzo again.

Betting pick: Michigan State (+650)

Bonus Bet: Big Ten Title Winner

One more thing: don't just ride Michigan State to an NCAA title. Do the same for their Big Ten championship hopes. That's a layup bet, seriously.

They're an astounding +150 favorites to win the conference. The next teams with the best odds to claim the Big Ten are intrastate rival Michigan and Maryland, both all the way at +650. That 500-point gap between first and runner-up is the biggest among the major basketball conferences.

We're all in on the Spartans and you should be too. This team is scary good.

Betting pick: Michigan State (+150)

And that does it for our college hoops season preview! Now all that remains is locking in a futures wager with an online sportsbook. One of our partners below can help take care of that.
